Kucera announced as football coach

Superintendent John Cselovszki informed the school board members at their Dec. 14 meeting that Brent Kucera was selected as Head Football Coach for the Sleepy Eye United varsity team which will take the field next fall. Cselovszki said the schools joint committee interviewed four candidates. Applications are now being accepted for assistant coach positions.

With all the bad weather we had last week, the school concert time I referenced last week was really condensed. St. Mary’s was able to have their elementary school program as scheduled on Wednesday, but Sleepy Eye Elementary had to postpone the K-4 program and hold it on Monday evening, along with the older grades and high school programs—also the same night as St. Mary’s had their grades 4-12 Christmas Concert.
