On Wednesday, Sept. 28th, FFA members from across Region VI gathered together for the annual Greenhand Day and Officer Workshop held in Windom. This workshop takes place to share and inform new members, Greenhands, about exciting opportunities that are available in FFA. The Knights volleyball team finished the regular season at home on Tuesday, Oct. 18, with a 3-1 loss to New Ulm Cathedral: 25-27, 15-25, 25-15, 20-25.
The Sleepy Eye United elementary football program wrapped up with a home event on Tuesday, Oct. 11, when the 5th and 6th grade tackle team scrimmaged against Wabasso. The week before, on Oct. 4, they traveled to Tracy to play under the lights against Tracy- Milroy-Balaton. There were 38 participants this year on the 5th and 6th grade team, along with numerous volunteer coaches. They practiced three times a week for eight weeks.

Subsection volleyball playoffs began this week, with play-in games on Monday and the rest of the field starting on Thursday, Oct. 27. With the 4-seed in Subsection 2A north, the Knights will host the 5-seed Indians.
