The Brown County Fair is this week. You probably already knew that, but it kind of sneaked up on me! Not sure how that happened, but I will get there at least once to take some pictures and see the sites. I think our county fair is a great tradition with something for everyone. Free admission, farm animals to admire, midway rides and games for those who dare, music for all tastes, lots of food, exhibits, vendors, and grandstand events.

Welcome to my little corner of the world. As I am writing this little article (on July 29), I am on the second day of an expected five-day Covid quarantine experience. I am extremely thankful in that I am fully vaccinated and have received Paxlovid from my extremely helpful pharmacist. It looks like my experience will be very much like President Biden’s recent bout with Covid. I am able to do some easy chores, but when my body says, “No, that’s enough!” I listen to my body and I lay down. There is a constant and very painful cough, I am very lethargic but can’t sleep, and my bones hurt… but on the good side I can breath just fine. The nurses say this all should be over by Tuesday… it all sounds very “mechanical.” I hope they are correct. In the meantime, I have been blessed by, “Community.”
