Koozie Group is growing its team

Koozie Group is holding a job fair on Saturday, June 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the site 1000 3rd Ave SW, Sleepy Eye. Enter through the N4 Human Resources Door located along Southdale Street SW. Koozie Group recently increased base pay, so now is a great time stop by for a visit to check out job openings.

GFWC Woman’s Club

The GFWC Woman’s Club met at the Depot Museum on May 17, with nine members and one guest in attendance. Depot Executive Director, Deb Joramo, gave a tour of the museum, spoke about what a typical day might have been like for travelers who stopped at the railroad depot, and shared stories of Chief Sleepy Eye. Joramo also shared progress on the card reader the Woman’s Club donated and handed out copies of the book “Journey 1872-2000” to those who wanted one.

Hope House donation

The Sleepy Eye/Leavenworth Knights of Columbus Council 3134 annually donates proceeds from their Tootsie Roll drive to organizations supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. This year’s proceeds of $1,000 was split between three organizations, including the Hope House in Sleepy Eye.
