Campground courtesy and lake care

The camping season is in full swing, and our campground has been busy most of the summer. I would like to give everyone a friendly reminder that when driving through the campground to please SLOW DOWN! There are many families with young children that use our park, and we don’t want to see any accidents. We will be installing speed bumps throughout the campground area because we have received numerous complaints about the speed of traffic through the campground. Some of you have probably already seen the new kayak and paddleboard rental station that we now have available in the campground. There is a small, sloped area by the rental station to allow renters easier access to the lake. We don’t want people dragging the kayaks and paddleboards over to the boat landing to launch them. Dragging them on the blacktop and concrete will damage the bottom of them, plus the boat landing gets very busy and we don’t want someone getting hurt by someone backing a trailer up. There has also been a new bench swing added to the south end of the beach, thanks to a donation from Lisa Hoffmann.
