Our virtue for the month of May is “zeal” and it is such an incredibly fitting one for the conclusion of the 2021-2022 school year. “Zeal” is defined as “great energy or enthusiasm” – qualities that we are so blessed to witness in our school community every day.

Kindness is free. Every once in a while I see Facebook posts with messages about kindness and how it can make a change in someone’s life (both the giver and receiver of kindness).
The Sleepy Eye FFA Members of the Month for April are Adam Rodriguez, Miah Brown, and Emma Fischer. Officer of the Month is Presley Braun.
At the May 11 meeting of the Sleepy Eye Board of Education, Superintendent John Cselovszki reported to the board that the Ag. Advisory Board had discussed the green house—a covered hoop structure that is in poor condition. Ag. instructor Mary Hoffmann was in attendance and asked the board for permission to have it taken down. Hoffmann said it had been there (behind the school) since before she came to teach at Sleepy Eye. She said her program doesn’t use it and because there is no heat, electricity or water, it is not usable during the school year.
