SEU golfers persevere

After being rained out with about 7 holes in at Sanborn on Thursday, April 28, the Sleepy Eye United golf team was on the course again, this time at home, on Friday afternoon. It rained again but the golfers got the meet in the books.

Beyond Reason

Mother’s Day is the one day a year when Mother gets to put her feet up and is waited on hand and foot by her minions. Father brings her an iced coffee, just the way she likes it. The children deliver the remote control, blankets, and a snack. Uninterrupted, Mother watches an entire episode of BBC-produced British period piece on PBS. It is pure bliss.

Mayor’s Message

The long awaited results of the lake survey done by Dr. Bryce Hoppie of Minnesota State University Mankato over the past year saw the light of day last Friday, April 29, at a presentation done by Dr. Hoppie in the City Council Chambers. Attending the presentation were members of the Lake Improvement Committee, representatives from BCSWCD and the DNR, City of Sleepy Eye personnel, representatives from the Water Resources Council at Minnesota State University and students from St. Mary’s High School.
