This is one of those March weeks when I can speculate about whether spring has sprung without danger of sounding like a fool by the time you read it in the paper. All the weather forecasters have assured us that mild weather will prevail through the weekend (maybe even in 60s!). So, I’ll do it—I believe that spring has sprung!

Sleepy Eye Senior Citizens Club

The Sleepy Eye Senior Citizens Club met Feb. 11 at the Golf Club where a catered meal was served for their Valentines Party. Thirteen members were present. Following the meal a brief business meeting was held. The officers were re-elected: President Gloria Sellner, Vice President LeAnn Hale, Secretary-Treasurer Rhelda Renner. Cards were played after the meeting and a delicious cherry dessert brought by Gloria Sellner was served.

Deutscher Sprachklub

The Deutscher Sprachklub will meet on Sunday, March 20 in the room next to the cafeteria at Martin Luther College in New Ulm from 1 to 3 p.m. All are welcome. The goal is to have fun and continue the culture and language of the New Ulm area. For more information call 354-4745 or 359-4114.
