“Care” can be a noun or a verb, correct? “I don’t care!” indicates I am not interested in what is being discussed. “I need care” indicates I am interested in having my needs attended to by someone who is capable. “Urgent Care” is different than “Longterm Care.” “I couldn’t care less what happens” (often corrupted to “I could care less”) means little different than saying “whatever!” with an eye roll.

It’s been a whirlwind of almost three months into 2022 here at the Sleepy Eye Chamber of Commerce. Our Annual Meeting back in February was an amazing night of membership and community support, as we were finally able to gather safely after an almost two year hiatus. Deb from the Herald-Dispatch did a great job covering the night so I won’t give a recap, however I will update you on our now current Board of Directors and Executives who help me make all the big decisions to aid our businesses.
Miller Sellner Powersports partnered with a couple of area community organizations on their fundraising raffles this year—the Sleepy Eye Sportsmen’s Club and the River Valley Dutchmen Snowmobile Club. The clubs each purchased their big raffle prizes from Miller Sellner Powersports. The folks at Miller Sellner helped to promote each organization’s event, including selling raffle tickets from the store—that’s how local businesses show that Community Matters!
