The Sleepy Eye boys hoopsters dropped a conference game at Wabasso Friday night by a score of 55-46.
The Indians put together their lowest output of the season and especially struggled in the final 18 minutes, scoring just 16 points.
“Wabasso played a zone defense and we really struggled in the second half,” said coach Brian Polesky.
“We have been playing well of late so we need to put this behind us and get back on track next week,” continued Polesky.
Mitch Laffen scored 15 points in the loss.

Sleepy Eye finished off it’s conference schedule with a 64-55 win at home against BL/H Monday night.
The Indians struggled with turnovers in the first half but moved the ball around well enough in the second half to secure the win.
“Although we didn’t play our best basketball, it was good to get a win we needed to have,” said coach Brian Polesky. “We struggled with turnovers tonight but we had enough scoring balance to secure the win.”
Andrew Geiger led the local boys with 19 points, six rebounds and three steals.
Mitch Laffen chipped in 12 while making five assists and six rebounds.
Two other Indians were in double figures scoring including Aaron Zuhlsdorf with 12 and Tyler Hadley with 10.
Sleepy Eye is 12-11 overall on the year. They finish 8-8 in the Tomahawk Conference.
