Irmgard was born in Zuffenhausen, Germany and resided in a few different parts throughout Germany. There she was a licensed beautician until her venture to the United States, January 1, 1984.

Irmgard loved driving our family dog Princess (aka "Miss Daisy") around town, to the lake and eventually to Dairy Queen for an ice cream treat. Watching her reruns of the old westerns as well as court tv shows. She loved sitting on her patio in the summer months visiting with her many loving neighbors, giving German cooking tips. Her biggest pride and joy was her son Anthony, they had an unparallel bond all the way to the very end (she made sure that everyone knew that). She always knew that she could expect at least one phone conversation with him each and every day. Irmgard has touched the lives of so many people with her smile and generosity, and
maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.

Irmgard is survived by her son Anthony. She was one of four siblings born to the late Peter and Emilie Csonti and was the beloved wife of Ronald Smith since July 16, 1982. Irmgard will forever be remembered by her family in Germany, brothers Wendelin, Hans and Fritz (deceased), most cherished sister Elli Brenner (Csonti), and treasured nieces and nephews. Irmgard was also
blessed by her late husband Ronald Smith's side of the family who have also shown their support. Along with countless other friends whom were a big part of her life.

The family requests memorials be sent to 400 Linden SE  Sleepy Eye, MN 56085
