Mary L. Hass was born on March 3, 1935 in New Ulm, Minn. to Frank and Marie (Heck) Marka. She grew up and graduated from high school in Willmar. Mary married Gerald "Jerry" L. Hass on November 6, 1976 in Essig, Minn. She was a very loving mother, dedicating her life to raising her four daughters. She also loved spending every minute she could with her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. She worked as a nurses aid for many years. Mary was a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved spending time going to casinos, not only in Minn. but many other states as well. She enjoyed traveling whenever she possibly could. When she got a chance she always made it a point to stop and "read a menu." One of the things we will miss about her was all of her comical sayings and anecdotes. She had one for every  occasion..."TOBY." This always brought a smile to our faces. She will be sadly missed by all of us. She made a great impression on us all and will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra (Danny) Hemming of Sleepy Eye, Lori Harms of Sleepy Eye, Twyla (David) Rabaey of Marshall, Bonnie (Larry Zebell) Harms of Port Orange, Fla.; six grandchildren, Angelica (Stephen) Kostoff, Kait Rabaey, Jenny Schuldt, Kendra and Dakota "Cody" Hunt, Brittney Rabaey; and five great grandchildren, Xander "JuJubee" and Madisyn Kostoff, Storm, Victoria and Damian Schuldt; and brother, Frank "Sonny" (Susan) Marka of New Ulm. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Robert Harms, husband, Gerald Hass and uncle, Peter Heck.
