The Brown County American Dairy Association announces the upcoming coronation of the 2012 Brown County Dairy Princess and recognition of the 2012 Dairy Ambassadors on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in New Ulm.
Laura Rosenhammer, 20, the daughter of John and Patty Rosenhammer of Sleepy Eye, is a candidate for Brown County Dairy Princess.
Laura is a sophomore at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul, majoring in agriculture. She is active in 4-H and FFA, MN Junior Holstein Association, Gopher Dairy Club, Lambda Delta Phi Sorority and Collegiate Agri-Women.
After graduation Laura intends on using her knowledge and experience to take a position at her family’s farm or to acquire her own herd.
Brown County’s four Dairy Ambassadors for 2012 are Katelyn Johnson, daughter of Lee and Judy Johnson; Molly Lax, daughter of Rick and Monica Lax; Sabrina Portner, daughter of Tom and Mary Portner; Mary Rosenhammer, daughter of John and Patty Rosenhammer; Bethany Seifert, daughter of Steve and Barb Seifert and Maggie Sellner, daughter of Loran and Heidi Sellner, all of Sleepy Eye.
