Windschitl also played well scoring 21 points and Heinrichs showed her continued improvement from the offseason with a nice all-around game of 20 points, six rebounds, and five steals.

The poise and leadership Mathiowetz shows on the court for a freshman is very impressive and the Knights’ big three is looking to build off of their good start as they host Martin County West Tuesday night at 7:30.

Head Coach Bruce Woitas was pleased with what he saw from his girls in the opening weekend. Woitas says of the strong performances of his team,” Overall was very happy with our play over the weekend, I thought we came out in both games and set the pace right away.” Woitas also adds, “We had good balance both days in scoring and thought we played good on the defensive side also.”

Woitas also added it was nice to get all 15 of his players court time as well as that can help provide depth late in the season.
