St. Mary's sixth graders are busy preparing for their trip to BizTown on Oct. 25. BizTown — a Junior Achievement program — is a simulated city, run totally by students for a day. To prepare, students learn about money management, writing checks, creating resumes, applying for jobs and many other real world skills. Recently, the students practiced their interviewing skills with area business people. Pictured is Shayna Sellner at her interview with Kevin Currans. The other volunteers were Scott Salfer, Randy Reinarts, Mark Schwartz, Brent Kucera, and Sara Nosbush. Sixth grade social studies teacher Annette Lux organizes this experience.
