Miss Godahl candidates, Ana Parker and Lorena Butler, rode in the community’s parade before the new queen was announced on Monday, Sept. 3, at the 63rd annual Godahl Day celebration. Miss Godahl candidates must be entering their junior year of high school and have volunteered at Godahl Day for at least three of the past five years. After the parade Ana was crowned as Miss Godahl. She is the daughter of Gary and Ann Parker and is a student at St. James High School. Lorena is the daughter of the late Steve Butler and Wendy and Brad Carlson. She is a student at St. Mary’s High School. “My most memorable experience of Godahl Day would be when my dad walked with me in the parade when I was little,” said Lorena. She also has good memories of working at the iconic Godahl Store, which her mom managed for a time.
