Jenna, Lance and Kristen and Brady enjoy Stanley Cup experience!
The Washington Capitals Head Athletic Trainer, Jason Serbus, is a Bird Island native and got to bring the National Hockey League’s Stanley Cup championship trophy home for a day. Avid Sleepy Eye hockey fans, Jenna Friton, Lance Gluth, Brady Gluth and soon-to-be hockey fan, seven-month-old Kristen Gluth, daughter of Jenna and Lance, went to see the Stanley Cup at The Broaster in Bird Island on Monday afternoon, July 23. Jenna (our front desk person at the Herald-Dispatch) said they only had 10 seconds with the cup, and were not allowed to lift it, but could touch it and kiss it—which Lance did. Serbus collected free will donations for the Tim Orth Foundation at the event.
