SEFAC is ready for July activities.

June flew by at SEFAC. The season started with some beautiful hot and sunny weather, but even though the temperatures got a little cool and it's been quite rainy, we are thankful for those die-hard swimmers who attend anyway. We have also had several large groups, lots of families, and a wealth of individuals and friend groups enjoy our facility. Not to mention, we've updated the pictures on our Facebook page and website so check them out when you have a moment. You might be in one!

If you haven't had a chance to join us at SEFAC, please consider it soon. We have a lot going on with Water Games & Pool Fun, our second session of lessons starting July 9, and water aerobics—which is still three days a week in the morning and evening. I'm also pleased to announce that we will have two night swims this summer so mark your calendar! The dates for our night swims are Wednesday, July 11 and Wednesday, August 15, from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m. Admission to these night swims will be an additional fee, even with a pass or punchcard, but any/all water toys are welcome!

We currently staff 32 lifeguards and are incredibly grateful for all the work that is done behind the scenes by people at the city office as well as the Parks & Rec department. Without these people, SEFAC would not function. When you see them, please thank them for their hard work and dedication to the Sleepy Eye Family Aquatic Center.

A few reminders to parents, if you are dropping your children off at SEFAC: please make sure your child knows a phone number to reach you in case of an emergency or closing and please remind your child/children to follow the rules while at the facility. Please remind your children to throw their garbage away. We want to keep our facility nice for community members and visitors alike.

If you are still interested in signing your child up for Water Games & Pool Fun or swimming lessons, we have two sessions remaining. Please call, 794-9501, or stop in to sign up. As always, cancellations, early closings, and events will be posted on our Facebook page. Please feel free to stop in, call the Aquatic Center, or check our Facebook page if you have any questions or are unsure if we are going to be open. We look forward to seeing you!
