The end of the school year is a time to wrap up the Adopt-a-Senior Program with bingo parties!

The end of the school year is a time to wrap up the Adopt-a-Senior Program—FFA members had get-together bingo events at the Sleepy Eye Care Center and Countryside Retirement Community.

Since the beginning of the school year, 62 FFA members participated in the Adopt-a-Senior Program, making cards each month for a "senior" resident in the community. These seniors live at Sleepy Eye Care Center, Countryside Retirement Community and Divine Providence Community Home.

The purpose of this project is to help members connect with a different generation and learn to appreciate the relationships they can make. FFA teaches students to reach out and give more of themselves to others by being involved in the Adopt-A-Senior Program.

On May 23, 30 FFA members went to play bingo with the residents. It was a great time and was fun to get to know more people and hear their stories. All the members left with smiles on their faces. This program will continue to thrive and grow within the Sleepy Eye community in future years.
