Coach Aaron Nesvold said he was pleased with the pitching in both games. “It took our bats a while to warm up, but we were able to hold to a victory in game one,” he said. “A good quick start to a five-inning game is key,” he said of game two. “We were able to score runs in every inning except the fifth. Nice to get a sweep.”

Home again on Monday, May 7, the Indians got two more, against New Ulm Cathedral. Game one was a squeaker, but the home boys won 2-1. Game two was a big offensive win for the Indians, with a five-run fourth inning. "Again, nice to get a sweep,” said Nesvold. “Both MVL and NUC are very good teams and will be dangerous come playoff time.”
