Former liquor store proposed to be renovated to house police department.

At their Tuesday, May 8 meeting, the Sleepy Eye City Council passed a resolution for possible bond financing for the proposed renovation of the former liquor store area of city hall for use as a police station and set a public hearing for the June 12 meeting. George Eilertson, Northland Securities, was present to explain the option of issuing General Obligation Capital Improvement Plan Bonds to finance the project.
