Sleepy Eye Indian Madi Heiderscheidt participated in the Minnesota Girls High School All Star Game weekend Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7 at Carleton College in Northfield.
On Friday night, Madi and her parents attended the All-Star banquet where the 40 players were recognized (top 10 from each class) and Miss Basketball was crowned—Eastview's Megan Walstad. Following the banquet the girls went bowling together to get to know one another better.
Saturday morning the girls ran a youth clinic with Minnesota Lynx players Lindsay Whalen and Rebekkah Brunson. The All Star games were played Saturday afternoon.
Madi’s team defeated their opponents 74-70, playing in the second game of the day.
Madi enjoyed the entire event, finding it an amazing experience and honor to be playing with the top players in the state.
