A nice warm Easter Egg Hunt on this cold Saturday morning.

Organizers for the traditional community Easter Egg Hunt are not taking any chances with the weather or park conditions on Saturday, they’ve already decided to hold the hunt at the Sleepy Eye Event Center.

The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 31. On arrival, parents should find their child’s designated area and line up. The space will be divided by age groups—babies through age 4, 5 to 7-year-olds, and children age 8 and up.

When the horn sounds at 10 a.m., children will be set loose to pick up eggs scattered throughout their area. There will be over 2,000 candy-filled eggs for the kids, as well as more than 300 prize eggs to turn in for prizes—small toys, Easter cookies and gift certificates to local businesses. All children will receive a goodie bag containing an Easter activity book.

Special guests appearing at Saturday’s Easter Egg Hunt are Easter Bunny and the Miss Sleepy Eye Royalty.

Sleepy Eye Medical Center and SouthPoint Financial Credit Union are sponsors of this annual event.
