One thing the Knights boys have done well this year is play a game to completion in spite of the score. The Knights fell behind early in the first half Friday night, but made the Cougars work for every point they put up. “We played one of our best halves of basketball in the second half, with only one turnover and offensive contributions from a number of players,” said Knights Head Coach Tim Milliard.

Nick Labat led the Knights with 15 points and six rebounds. Dalton Meyer got 12 points and eight rebounds.

The Knights hosted their rivals, the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds, Tuesday, Feb. 20.

It was another tough night for the Knights, as they fell behind early in the first half and never truly recovered. By the three-minute mark, the Greyhounds were up 33-14. The Knights went to halftime trailing 44-23.

The second half they continued to struggle and the Greyhounds took home the win. “The difference in the game was their three-point shooting,” Milliard said. “That, along with our inability to convert on the offensive end.”

Blake Steffensmeier shot 11 points to lead the Knights. Labat hit nine points and Brandon Wait followed with seven.
