The Eagles had a rough night ahead of them facing a team with Bulldog’s towering at 6’1” and 6’2”.

After a hard fought opening to the first period, Glavine Schugel shot down the line for a goal, with Max Heiderscheidt on the assist. The Bulldogs responded with two goals before the end of the first period.

In the second period, the Bulldogs again scored on a power play. The Eagles showed signs of exhaustion in the third period, as the Bulldogs kept them on the ropes. In the final moments of the game, the Eagles pulled their goalie for an extra player on the ice. The move paid off and Luke Scheid put the puck in the net with an assist from Landon Strong. The clock ran out before the Eagles had a chance to tie things up.

The Eagles host Luverne, Thursday, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m.
