The Knights made a better showing against the Thunderbirds—finding the hoop and passing. In the first half, the Knights trailed by just two points.

The second half gave the Knights many opportunities to take the lead, but the Thunderbirds matched them shot for shot, each scoring 20 points. “This game could have gone either way,” said coach Tim Milliard. “We had a number of possessions down the stretch where we missed a shot or committed a turnover. It was good to see us finally shoot the ball better, especially in the first half.”

Collin Ludewig led the attack with 16 points and five rebounds. Carter Currans sunk 11 points with four rebounds, followed by Labat with 10 points and eight rebounds.
