“We have already received higher scores in our very first competition, then in our best competition last year, towards the end of the season,” said Coach Lauren Hoffman. Last year the record for Varsity High Kick was 261/500 and in this first meet they scored seven points higher.

At New Ulm Cathedral’s mini-meet on Dec. 4, the Sleepy Eye girls got their first confirmation of hard work paying off. The Varsity High Kick team earned their first trophy—for second place, missing first place by just one point and Coach Hoffman said the teams are very motivated by this.

Spirit in Motion will compete next at BOLD Saturday, Dec. 16.
