The Sleepy Eye FFA named Emma Fischer, Cali Rossbach and Adolfo Sanchez as members of the month for October. McKenzie Cselovszki is officer of the month.

The Sleepy Eye FFA named Emma Fischer, Cali Rossbach and Adolfo Sanchez as members of the month for October. McKenzie Cselovszki is officer of the month.

Emma Fischer is a 10th grader at Sleepy Eye High School and has been in FFA for four years. She joined FFA because her family was in FFA and it seemed fun.

Emma is on the Poultry CDE Team and she likes this CDE because her friends are also in it and she enjoys having Larry as a coach. Her favorite FFA activity is the Crop Show. Something she is looking forward to this year is going to state convention and taking first place in the poultry contest.

Emma has learned more about agriculture and leadership by being in FFA and Ag. classes. She is proud of many awards including first place team at regions for poultry, seventh place individual in the 2016 crop show, and receiving gold at state for B.I.G. (Best Informed Greenhand) Team.

Cali Rossbach is also a 10th grader at Sleepy Eye High School. This is her fourth year in FFA and she joined because her brother was in it and he encouraged her to join.

Cali is on the Poultry CDE Team and she likes hanging out with her team. Cali’s favorite FFA activity is the Summer Ag. Tour. This year she is looking forward to competing at state convention for poultry.

Cali has learned more about agriculture, different careers, and leadership through FFA and Ag. Classes. She is most proud of getting first place individual at regions for poultry.

Adolfo Sanchez is a senior at Sleepy Eye High School and has been in FFA for three years. He joined FFA because he thought it would be funand his favorite FFA activity is the fun nights. Adolfo is looking forward to all the activities and dances that FFA has.

Adolfo said by being in FFA and an Ag. Class he has learned that teamwork is essential. He is proud of this award as member of the month.

Officer of the month, McKenzie Cselovszki, is a senior at Sleepy Eye High School and has been in FFA for six years. She joined FFA to be more involved in school and develop life-long skills needed for the future.

McKenzie is serving as chapter Vice President this year. She likes her position on the officer team because of the higher leadership role. She also enjoys working as a team and having new opportunities.

McKenzie is on the Poultry CDE team and enjoys learning how to properly grade eggs, processed meat, and live birds and working with her team. Her favorite FFA activity is Timberland Camp. She is looking forward to seeing how her proficiencies in Goat Production and Equine Placement do at State Convention, as well as getting her State Degree.

McKenzie has learned many skills by being in FFA and an Ag. class, such as leadership and communication skills, how to be a role model and work with others. The awards she is most proud of include National Poultry Team Gold Individual and National Proficiency Finalist in Equine Entrepreneurship.
