Guest speaker this year is Herald-Dispatch sports writer, David Webster. Webster is a U.S. Army veteran and member of the Sleepy Eye American Legion post.

With Veterans Day on a Saturday this year, the annual programs at the schools are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 10. These programs are open to the public: 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s School, in the new gym; 10:30 a.m. at Sleepy Eye High School, in the auditorium. Guest speaker this year is Herald-Dispatch sports writer, David Webster. Webster is a U.S. Army veteran and member of the Sleepy Eye American Legion post.

Veterans Day observances continue on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Servicemen’s Club, with the traditional Mulligan Stew lunch (serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and the annual Veterans Dinner at 6 p.m. Webster will also speak at the evening dinner.

Local veterans and their significant others are invited to the dinner. Their meals will be complimentary from the Legion, VFW and Sleepy Eye Servicemen's Club. Reservations are still being accepted for the dinner—call the Servicemen’s Club after 4 p.m.
