The Gluth family donated proceeds from this fall's motorcycle run in memory of their daughter, sister and aunt Kristin Ann to two local organizations.

The Gluth family met with the Holiday Lights in Motion Co-chairs, Mike Suess and Shari Hittesdorf, on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Sportsmen’s Park to present a donation of $1,000 from this fall’s event in memory of their daughter, sister and aunt Kristin—”Riding for the Love of Kristin Ann Memorial Run.” Hittesdorf said one use of the donation will be to replace the poster-type signs they’ve used in the past, with more permanent and sturdy signs for Holiday Lights in Motion visitor information.

The Sleepy Eye Golf Club also received a generous donation from the “Riding for the Love of Kristin Ann Memorial Run.” Lisa Pelzel, the aunt of Kristin Gluth, spent quite a bit of time drawing up the landscaping design surrounding the new patio at the Golf Club. The Memorial Run generated enough money to allow the family to donate $1,000 that will cover the cost of the new plants, shrubs, tree and wind vane.
