The Sleepy Eye Let’s Go Fishing Chapter enjoyed fellowship and recognition at their annual LGF Appreciation Supper held at the Sleepy Eye Community Center Tuesday, Oct. 10. Special guest in attendance was the founder of Let’s Go Fishing, Joe Holm, who shared an inspirational message that highlighted the positive impact LGF has for both pontoon guests and volunteer captains and co-captains. End of the year highlights included: There were 190 bookings, 124 trips completed, and 66 cancellations; a total of 506 volunteer hours were logged on the water, plus 1,422 volunteer hours tallied behind the scenes; the Sleepy Eye Chapter served 948 guests—87 were veterans, and guests were from 61 different organizations from Sleepy Eye, Springfield, New Ulm, Mankato, Redwood Falls, Wabasso, Gaylord, St. Peter, Winthrop, Sibley County and most recently, Hector.
