GFW came out swinging hard against Sleepy Eye, with three losses and only two wins, they were hoping to split the season thus far. They accomplished that in a big win over the Indians, in three lightning sets. The Indians defense struggled to come up with an answer for the Thunderbirds.

Madi Heiderscheidt led the Indians with six kills and seven digs; Mya Ibberson followed with five kills and four aces.

The Indians hosted the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldogs on Monday, Sept. 25. The game was added to the Indians schedule after an early season cancellation by Mankato Loyola.

The Bulldogs gave the Indians a tough first set—pulling ahead twice before the Indians overcame them. In the second set, the Indians struggled to maintain the lead, tying at both 25-25 and 26-26, before getting two points for the win. Heiderscheidt pulled off an impossible save to keep the Bulldogs from tying it up again.

Both teams played quick exchanges in the third set, but the Bulldogs seemed to run out of steam and the Indians ended the game on top.

Ibberson had a big night with 14 kills, four blocks and two aces. Heiderscheidt got eight kills, 14 digs and two blocks. Cassidy Hoffman put up 28 set assists.
