Shari Hittesdorf, Ambulance Coordinator for the City of Sleepy Eye announced the following CPR and First Aid classes scheduled for this fall. Classes are held at the Ambulance Police Garage, 130 Second Avenue NW.

Register online at sleepyeyeambulance.org. There is a fee for each class that can be paid at the time of the class.

Healthcare CPR: Wednesday, Oct. 4, 6 to 10 p.m. This course is for healthcare providers only (not daycare providers.)

This course teaches the newest licensed healthcare provider standards for Infant, Child and Adult CPR, AED and Choking. It is an American Heart Association certification course. The class designed for those with no previous training as well as those needing to refresh.

Daycare Providers CPR Training: Wednesday, Oct. 25, 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. This course does not meet Healthcare/BLS CPR requirements. This course teaches the newest standards for Infant, Child and Adult CPR, AED and Choking. It is an American Heart Association certification course. The class is designed for those with no previous training as well as those needing to refresh and meets daycare provider requirements.

First Aid: Wednesday, Nov. 8, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. This course covers a wide variety of emergency situations including stroke, seizure, trauma, poisoning, heat stroke, burns, etc. It is certified by the American Heart Association. The class is designed for those with no previous training as well as those needing to refresh and meets the daycare provider requirements.
