The Wildcats took a trip to St. Peter on Thursday. Even the change up on doubles wasn’t enough to change the outcome from the meet. This is the second 0-7 loss River Valley has taken this season.

On Saturday, Sept. 16 the Wildcats went to St. James for the second time . The Wildcats competed in a three school invitational, the other school in attendance was United South Central, USC. This meet marked the first season win for Domeier and Klein as a new doubles team.

The Wildcats took another loss to St. James. No. 1 singles: Renata Hernandez (SJ) def. Hanna Himmelman (RV) 6-2, 6-1. No 2: Ellie Becker (SJ) def. Briana Schmidt (RV) 6-1, 6-1. No. 3: Luci Kulseth (SJ) def. Kaydince Thoms (RV) 6-0, 6-1. No. 4: Mya Hanson (SJ) def. Brooklyn Moldan (RV) 3-6, 6-1, 10-6 (super tiebreaker).

No. 1 doubles: Lauren Klein and Kelsie Domeier (RV) def. Hannah Loewen and Jaelyn Haler (SJ) 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 (super tiebreaker). No. 2: Clare Lepp and Miranda Tetzloff (SJ) def. Courtney Sellner and Megan Himmelman (RV) 6-4, 6-4. No. 3: Noel Westcott and Gabby Trapero (SJ) def. Megan Stevens and Liv Nelson (RV) 6-1, 6-2.

The second showdown of the day went slightly better for the Wildcats, however as a team they still took a loss.

Courtney Sellner and Megan Himmelman (RV) 6-3, 6-3. No. 3: Lauren Zebro and Katie Dylla (USC) def. Megan Stevens and Liv Nelson (RV) 6-1, 6-2.

On Tuesday, Sept. 19 the Wildcats were once again road warriors as they traveled to Fairmont to take on the Cardinals. The Wildcats have had it rough, with a four-loss streak, but they turned things around on Tuesday. Klein and Domeier also racked up their third consecutive win as a doubles team.

No. 1 doubles: Lauren Klein and Kelsie Domeier (RV) def. Brittany Bass and Bergen Senf (F) 6-2, 6-3. No. 2: Courtney Sellner and Megan Himmelman (RV) def. Makena Rodriguez and Emily O’Connor (F) 6-4, 6-0. No. 3: Holly Petrowlak and Lauren Davis (F) def. Brooklyn Moldan and Kaydince Thoms (RV) 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 10-8 (super tiebreaker).

The Wildcats will host the Waseca Bluejays on Thursday. Sept. 21 for their last game of the regular season at 4:30 p.m.
