The Sleepy Eye Indians volleyball team hosted the Cedar Mountain-Comfrey Cougars on Thursday, Sept. 14.

The Cougars came to Sleepy Eye and made short work of the Indians in the first two sets. While the Indians have had a balanced season this year, the game against CMC started rough.

In the third set the Indians found their pace and dragged CMC to 30 points, forcing the Cougars to get 32 for the win.

Madi Heiderscheidt finished the game with 11 kills, 13 digs and three blocks. Mariah Miller got five kills and Madi Krueger contributed 10 digs and five aces. The Indians are 2-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

The Indians travel to Winthrop to play GFW on Thursday, Sept. 21.
