Sleepy Eye FFA won the crops show at the state fair and Hunter Rose was the top individual! Read about all the awards.

The Sleepy Eye FFA Chapter was well represented at the Minnesota State Fair, earning awards in several categories.

In the Crops Division, there were 1,303 total crop samples. Of those, Sleepy Eye FFA had over 600 crop samples and 103 exhibitors. There were 15 FFA chapters competing in the Minnesota State Fair Crops Show.

Sleepy Eye was named High Point Chapter and Winner of the Minnesota State Fair Crop Show, winning with 2,533 points. Jackson was second with 878 points and Mountain Lake was third with 609 points. This is the eighth year, out of the past 10 years, that the Sleepy Eye FFA Chapter has won the crop show.

Crop Show Exhibitors:

Hunter Rose had the Champion Oats Sample and was the first place overall individual in the State Fair FFA Crops Show. Hunter has had an amazing showing at the Minnesota State Fair over the past six years. He has had the Best in Show exhibit four years, has been a High Point New Exhibitor, was the State Fair Crop Show Winner three times, and has had numerous Champion samples throughout the years.

Other top five finishers at the state fair crops show include: Natalie Sellner, second place overall individual; Parker Neid, fifth place overall individual; and Jason Elmore, Champion Rye Sample.
