“We were able to provide over 500 children with a new backpack filled with supplies that matched their school and grade level lists”

The United Way’s recent school backpack program was very successful, according to Donna Lambrecht, Executive Director of United Way of Brown County.

“We were able to provide over 500 children with a new backpack filled with supplies that matched their school and grade level lists,” said Lambrecht. She attributed the success to those who contributed school supplies, provided drop off sites in all the communities, donated funds to purchase items that were still needed and to the volunteers who helped sort and distribute the huge piles of supplies.

Lambrecht said, “This is just one way that your support of United Way demonstrates your commitment to help our children throughout the county.”
