The Indians watched the game slip away from them in the first two innings, with Springfield scoring a run in the first and another in the second. In the top of the fourth, Joey Walter put a run on the board for the Indians with a line drive and a trip home off a grounder.

The Indians failed to score any other runs and Springfield scored three more times in the fourth, sixth and seventh.

Alex Sellner took the loss at the mound, pitching eight innings. He struck out five and walked three and allowed six hits and five runs.

On Friday, the Indians traveled to Hanska to play the Hanska Lakers. At the start of the game, the Indians took control with four runs in the first and one run in the second.

Carter Brinkman (3-4) kicked things off with a line drive down center field for a double; he scored later on an error. Alex Woitas (2-4) followed with a base hit. Jared Beltz (1-3, 1 RBI) reached first on an error. Matt Helget hit into fielders choice and reached first. Woitas, Beltz and Helget all scored.

In the second inning, Marc Riederer (1-3) got walked and scored off a double from Matt Mielke (2-5). With a five-point deficit, the Lakers pushed back in the bottom of the third inning with two runs and a homerun.

Brinkman scored again in the top of the fourth and the Lakers matched with a run of their own. The Lakers went on to retake the game with a four-run inning in the fifth and a homerun in the sixth.

Gibbon 20

Sleepy Eye 2

On Saturday, the Indians faced off against the top-ranked Gibbon Reds in their final game of the season. The Reds blasted the Indians from the start and the mercy rule ended the game in seven innings.
