A little rain didn’t spoil the fun for the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Sleepy Eye as a big crowd of kids in boots came to run in the park and find eggs!
A little rain didn’t spoil the fun for the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Sleepy Eye. After a soggy Friday and early-morning Saturday, the sponsors decided it looked dry ahead and advised the kids to put on their rain boots and be at Allison Park at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 15. Pictured are the little ones as they headed towards Tot Lot to fill their baskets. The Easter Bunny was at the park and posed for pictures with any children brave enough to get close—pictured here with Abigail Krzmarzick who showed off the golden egg she found and would turn in for a special prize. The Miss Sleepy Eye royalty, in their first official appearance, got some special Easter Bunny time themselves, from left: Princess Maleah Berry, Miss Sleepy Eye Courtney Engholm, Easter Bunny and Princess Megan Sellner. A park full of children hunted for 1,200 plastic candy-filled eggs and 150 golden prize eggs. The prizes were donated by Subway, Dairy Queen, Schutz Family Foods, Hardee’s and Casey’s. Sleepy Eye Medical Center and SouthPoint Financial Credit Union were sponsors of the Easter Egg Hunt.
