Sarah Rossbach and Alex Woitas are February Lions Club Students of the Month.
Alex Woitas, a senior at St. Mary’s, is known for his involvement in basketball, baseball, and football. In addition, Alex is an “A” Honor Roll student. He has volunteered at the Men’s Sausage Dinner, the St. Mary’s church festival, Alumni golf tournaments, and Corn Days throughout high school. Alex is also a Mass server, and he has worked at Schwartz Farms since ninth grade.
Alex’s personal values and strengths have become apparent to him through his involvement with sports. He has learned time management and how to work as a team. “Sports have taught me to trust my teammates, knowing they will do their job and I will do mine,” he said.
Alex credits his twin brothers, Alan and Andrew, for influencing him to be the person he is today. “They taught me baseball from a young age and still teach me today in the sports field,” said Alex. “They also have pushed me to be the best person I can be."
