The Leavenworth Jr. Bi-County baseball team is the Jr. Bi-County champion after defeating Stark on July 28 in Stark.

The Orioles grabbed the early momentum in the first inning after a single, a bunt, and a sacrifice led to a double to center field from Jaden Mickelson which scored one. Leavenworth took a 2-0 lead in the fourth after a single plus two straight bunts got runners on base which followed by Mickelson hitting his second RBI of the night. Fortunately for Stark, the run in the fourth was the only one as Stark got out of the jam with a nice play to home plate, in which Jared Rothmeier stepped on the plate to grab an out and later raced back to grab a wild pitch and was able to throw it to pitcher Collin Hoffmann at the plate, who recorded the final out.

Despite the defensive momentum for Stark, Leavenworth continued to hit well at the plate. Mickelson hit his third RBI of the night in the fifth, and a wild pitch scored another for the Orioles.

Stark put its first run on the board in the bottom fifth, after Cole Owens hit in Hoffmann on a RBI single. Stark had an opportunity to score even more, but a controversial tag on the third base line was called by the umpire which ended the inning and left multiple Stark runners on base.

Leavenworth meanwhile, continued to make solid bunts and was able to get on base which led to a 5-1 lead. Stark had a final opportunity in the bottom seventh but failed to make any key hits.
