Winona struck early, heading in a corner kick just one minute into the game. After the 1-0 score at halftime, Winona added two more goals late in the game to seal the deal despite New Ulm’s solid ball possession. The lone goal for New Ulm came from Noah Webb, who crossed a pass that glanced off a Winona defender into the net.

In the first round of pool play, New Ulm tied Arrowhead-Hermantown 2-2 after goals from Josh Koelpin and Sam Wiechman in the first half. However, the team allowed in two goals in the second half which tied the game and made it difficult to advance through the pool. New Ulm ends its season with a record of 9-3-2.
