  • Brown County Deputy Matt Ibberson has been selected as a 2014 DWI Enforcer All-Star.

The 2014 DWI Enforcer All-Stars are the state’s leading law enforcement officers for arresting drunk drivers and preventing alcohol related crashes.

The All-Stars include officers and prosecutors from the Twin Cities’ metro area and Greater Minnesota, selected for outstanding service in enforcement and in prosecution of impaired driving.

The award is presented by the Office of Traffic Safety, which is a Division of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. The DWI Enforcer All-Stars will be presented during pre-game festivities for the July 24th Minnesota Twins-Chicago White Sox game (7:10 p.m. game time; pre-game festivities likely around 6:30 pm).

On average there are around 170 alcohol related traffic deaths and around 400 serious injuries annually. One in seven Minnesota drivers has a DWI on their record.
