  • The 33rd annual New Ulm Farm-City Hub Club Farm Show will be held Friday, March 7, 1-8 p.m. and Saturday, March 8 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The Hub Club show is the largest indoor farm show in south central Minnesota. It transforms the New Ulm Civic Center into a showcase for ag-related products and services. The exhibition area contains over 20,000 square feet of display space that promotes all facets of the agricultural industry.

In addition, one area of the show will be set aside for the Farm Show Market, with special products and services for home and personal use.

And there’s something for the kids, too, as the New Ulm FFA will have live baby animals and games for the kids.

After an absence of a year, seminars return to the schedule, with three scheduled for Friday and two for Saturday.

Topics include: The Future of Propane, by Doug Lund of UFC; Estate Planning by Steven J. Franta of the Legal Professionals; Early Season Gardens by U of M Educator and Master Gardener Christian Lilienthal; SBA Livestock Facility Loans by Randy Schroeder, Frandsen Bank; and Estate Planning by William D. Sommerness of the Legal Professionals.

Show attendees will have the opportunity to register for door prizes including fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors, courtesy of club members Joe Maidl Auctioneering and Real Estate of Lafayette, Don Sanderson State Farm Insurance of New Ulm and Community Insurance Agency of Lafayette.

For further information, contact show chairman Jenny Eckstein at the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce, 507-233-4302 or e-mail jenny@newulm.com.
