  • Dorothy A. Moeller, age 86, of Sleepy Eye, died on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at the New Ulm Medical Center. Visitation will be on Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. Service will be held at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye, on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. The clergy will be Pastor Matthew Lendt. Interment will be at the Home Cemetery, in Sleepy Eye. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Email condolences may be left at www.sturmfh.com.
    Dorothy A. Moeller was born on April 13, 1927 in Bismarck, N.D. to Theron and Mary (Bowers) Davidson. She grew up and graduated from high school in Beulah, N.D. After her schooling, Dorothy worked as a teacher for a short time. She married Vincent R. Moeller on April 13, 1956 in Minneapolis. The couple made their home in the metro area where Dorothy worked as a corporate treasurer for PowerMation for several years. After Vincent retired they moved to Cobden. Vincent preceded her in death in 1991 and she later moved to Sleepy Eye. Dorothy enjoyed playing Bingo at Hardee's and Jackpot, fishing and listening to Johnny Cash. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    She is survived by her daughters, Rosemary Lendt of Sleepy Eye, Gayle Hillesheim and special friend Kurt Tessmer of Sleepy Eye; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; sisters, Lorraine Hazeltine of Ill., Marjorie (Delbert) Barringer of Minn.; and brothers, Kenneth (Sharon) Davidson of Ohio, Ted (Luella) Davidson of Fla. and Bruce (Barb) Davidson of Calif.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Robert; son-in-law, Ervin Lendt; husband, Vincent; and great granddaughter, Savannah.
