Twenty-eight students in grades 3-8 were selected by their teachers to attend the Young Writer's Conference which took place on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Made possible by the Southwest/West Central Service Coop, the Young Writer's Conference was held at Southwest MSU-Marshall. It’s purpose was to both celebrate and explore writing with a keynote speaker by Debra Frasier as well as hands-on sessions where students had an opportunity to get creative with a real-life author, illustrator or other types of communicator.

These sessions included journaling, comic strip writing, poetry, illustrating and much more.
