  • The Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) and Republican Parties will conduct 2014 precinct caucus on Feb. 4 at 7 p.m.
Precinct caucuses are open to the public, but in order to vote, offer resolutions or become a delegate, attendees must be eligible to vote in the next general election, live in the precinct and be in general agreement with the principles of the political party.

DFL Chairman Ken Martin said precinct caucuses are a great way for people to meet their neighbors, discuss issues important to their community and serve as the unofficial start to the 2014 election season.

The purpose of the Republican precinct caucus will be to elect precinct chairs and other officers, elect delegates and alternates to the Brown County Basic Political Operating Unit (BPOU) convention, conduct gubernatorial and U.S. Senate straw polls and to discuss candidates as well as issues and resolutions to the party platform.
