  • Community Insurance Agency (CIA) in Sleepy Eye is expanding and has added a new agent.
    Deb Woods began her position of insurance agent at CIA on Jan. 6. Deb has been an insurance agent for the past 22 years and comes with a wealth of knowledge in the industry.
    She is licensed and very knowledgeable in the areas of personal, commercial, life, health and long term care insurance.
    "Deb's wealth of knowledge and experience that she brings to our agency is a real benefit to what is most important to our agency, which is our clients," said owner Ashley Schieffert.
    Deb and her husband, Tim, live in New Ulm. Her daughter and her granddaughter also live in New Ulm where Deb has lived for most of her life.
    Deb has been in the insurance industry since 1992 and enjoys helping customers understand the products and helping customers file claims.
    "It is so confusing with insurance and I enjoy helping people understand it," Deb said.
    Deb is available to take clients so stop by and welcome her to Sleepy Eye.
    Laurie Eckstein continues to be employed by CIA as an outside sales agent. She will continue to service her existing clientele, as well as prospecting new clients.
