  • Seven Emergency Responders from Brown County recently completed training offered by the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP), in Anniston, Ala.
     
    The CDP is operated by the United States Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
     
    The group attended the Healthcare Leadership Course Dec. 15-20 and included Brown County employees Laine Sletta (Brown County Emergency Management Director) and Susan Rakoczy, RN, PHN (Brown County Public Health Disease Prevention and Control/Emergency Preparedness Coordinator) along with five staff members from Sleepy Eye Medical Center including Lorraine Hillesheim (Lab Manager), Megan Green (Radiology Manager), Julie Kloeckl, RN, PHN (Infection Control/Emergency Preparedness & Environmental Services Manager), Janet Kramer (Accounting Manager) and Angela Mathiowetz (Payroll Clerk and Public Information Officer).
