2014 has much to offer

Welcome to 2014! We wonder where the year goes as we discard one calendar and bring out the new one. Again, activities for Community Education have been planned for the next five or so months. Hopefully you will find an activity or two to participate in. More suggestions and requests were received but sometimes, personnel cannot be secured to provide a class or workshop. Other times, new things will be added during the year so please check out this column, as well as announcements on the local radio station each morning after 8:30 a.m. for updates.

We have again filled more than a page in the Brown County Reminder for Jan. 6. Remember to save it since some things are already scheduled through June.

The new year will start by having those interested in learning to knit or crochet to stop by on Friday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. The time is available for all skill levels. If you are a beginner, bring a set of #8 knitting needles or a G crochet hook. Yarn is available for learning or practicing patterns.

ECFE will have the first event of the new year with an “I Love to Read” night on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 6-7:30 p.m. All children are invited to come in their pajamas and will be taking home their own book after the event.
